         Katie (Graynor) and Lauren (Miller) fall on hard times. Katie has an apartment that she is about to loose because she can no longer afford the rent and Lauren needs a place period. A mutual friend brings them both together so that Lauren with no place could room with Katie at her place.

    The only problem is that the two ladies were enemies in college. Under the circumstances, they put up with each other while in the meantime; Katie hatches up a plan to open her own phone sex line to help make ends meet. After seeing the cash start to roll in, Lauren joins her and the wackiness begins. This may be a girly, chick-flick but it is a cute one that is very relatable.

 The Dybbuk box has been in Jewish folklore since the 1600’s. It is a small box that was special built to trap and hold a demonic Dybbuk which is an evil sprit. If the box got into the wrong hands and the spirit in it was set free, all hell could break loose including someone susceptible being possess by the Dybbuk.

   Even though this is Jewish Folklore, there are real life cases of people having these boxes and they all had horrible things happen to the point that they had to get rid of the box usually by passing it on. They were too afraid to destroy it for fear of setting the Dybbuk free.

 Thus we have our story of a little girl who has her daddy buy her a box that fascinated her at a yard sale. When they took it home the bad luck began.

This movie will scare your socks off – guaranteed because it is based on a real life Dybbuk box case. If you are weak stay away from this one! If you love a good scare – this is your cup of tea!

     A couple who can’t have children writes various characteristics on separate pieces of paper describing their ideal child. They put those notes in a box and bury it in the back yard. A storm comes and that night a child with leaves on his legs appears in their house.

They take him in as their own. The basic premise of this film is unreal but we can dream can’t we? This is not quite a children’s film but all ages should like it.

We have two female best friends who are stuck in a little Cali desert hic town with exploding desires to escape to the big city of LA. 

Hooking up with the hoodlum guys

They meet a couple of guys who invite them to come to town. They steal a neighbor’s truck and make the drive to LA only to discover that the guys are homeless and living in an abandon apartment (squat) where they are into drugs, crime to you name it. A lesson is to be learned from this one.
