Set in during the Yuan Dynasty in 5^th century China, the entire family of the Zhao clan is murdered by rival general Tu Angu who ruthlessly seizes the throne and rules with an iron fist.

But a doctor who delivered the last survivor of the Zhao clan not only secretly takes the child as his own to save him but he makes the child the godchild of the evil general so he can grow up knowing the ways of the royal palace.

Richard Scarry (Diani) is a real estate agent who is not doing well due to his mother’s illness which racks up the bills. He and his buddy Dave (Klein) decide to purchase a fixer-upper and flip it on the market for profit. The only problem is that after they buy the place, they discover that it is haunted by 12 ghosts.

Movie Review - End Of Watch

David Ayer wrote “Training Day” that won a second Oscar® for Denzel Washington and in the same vein he brings us “End Of Watch,” a realistic, true life cop drama that he wrote, directed and produced.

Ayer lets his viewers see and feel what its like to live, love and work wearing an LAPD badge. Officers Brian Taylor (Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Pena) are shown at home with their families, at the station with their colleagues and we ride with them on patrol. That’s all hunkie-dory until they bump heads with a powerful Mexican Drug and human trafficking cartel. Then it becomes a fasten-your-seat-belt, high stakes ride. This one is a sure winner!

This is a comedy but it is based on the true story of comedian Mike Birbiglia who is a habitual sleep walker in real life. Sleep walking is a brain dysfunction where the mind cannot distinguish between things that go on in a dream and real life. So while they are asleep, they physically get up and act out what they are dreaming about like it is real. Some parts are funny but

others are serious like the time Birbiglia was dreaming that he was on a crashing spaceship and the only way out was to jump through a window in the spaceship. Unfortunately, the dream was so real that he actually got up and jumped out of a second story hotel window while still sleep and had to be hospitalized. This is one of those small, odd type of movies that only a select few can appreciate.
