The Hunger Games. Lionsgate Films. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Helmsworth, Amandla Stenberg, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Wes Bentley, Toby Jones, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jack Quaid, Dayo Okeniyi, Leven Rambin, Willow Shields and Paula Malcomson. Directed by Garry Ross. Screenplay by Gary Ross, Suzanne Collins and Billy Ray. Produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik.

The movie is based on the best selling Hunger Games book trilogy written by Suzanne Collins. The premise is mentally and spiritually sick in that once a year the 12 districts of Panem would offer up in tribute one young man and woman, to fight to the death in a pageant of honor, courage and sacrifice.

This was the punishment the districts had to endure as a result of their uprising against the government. The film will hold your attention throughout. As with all films made from best selling books with a built in fan base, it should be a box office smash.

**OK, I ALMOST LIKE IT!
