John Carter. Disney Pictures.
Starring Taylor Kitsch, Bryan Cranston, Daryl Sabara, Lynn Collins, Claran Hinds,
James Purefoy, Dominic West, Mark Strong, Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church,
Samantha Morton and Polly Walker. Directed/Screenplay by
Andrew
Stanton. Screenplay by Mark Andrews and Michael
Chabon. Produced by Lindsey Collins, Colin Wilson and Jim
Morris.
John Carter was originally introduced to the reading public in 1912 via the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic “A Princess of Mars,” which was the first novel in Burroughs’ Barsoom series.
Over years of being
transformed into comic books and TV it is a 3-D movie now! The 3-D isn’t that great
and should have just been a regular flick. The story line and action are in
great sync with each other. A very entertaining flick for the entire family
although the monsters may scare the dickens out of children five and younger.
**** Excellent (Ride In The Front, 1st Class)!
