    Be sure to catch the BET Celebration of Gospel this Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 8: PM ET/PT. This is the show’s twelfth year and it was hosted for the 12^th time by comedian, radio and TV personality Steve Harvey who was at the top of his game joke wise again. There were emotionally stirring tributes to the late Mahalia Jackson and Whitney Houstion. 

 

       The Jackson tribute was performed by Pastor Shirley Caeser, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell and anchored by Jennifer Holliday who brought the house down. The Houston tribute was done by Kelly Price. Actress Wendy Raquel Robinson and Dr. Bobby Jones teamed to render “The Spoken Word” segment.

 Guest performers included The Rance Allen Group, Earnest Pugh, James Fortune, Kirk Franklin, Pastor Marvin Sapp, Maurette Brown-Clark and many others.
